A native of Illinois, has resided in the Dallas area since 1983. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science, a master’s degree in Social Work, and a Master of Divinity degree.
Wanda has a heart for God and His people. It is evident in the service she has rendered in the community.
She has served as Honorary Chairperson and Task Force Member for the American Heart Association, Chairperson for the Alumni Association of the School of Allied Health Sciences at U. T. Southwestern, member of the National
Association of Social Workers, member of the Junior League, member of the American Adoption Congress and others. She has worked in the field of Adoption and is presently devoting her time to her family, ministry and studies.
Currently, she serves on the Truett Theological Seminary Advisory Board and was selected as their 2005 Minister of the Year. In August 2005, she led a ministry team to Africa where they ministered to thousands and implemented Victorious Disciples in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2006, she was the Esther Award recipient at the First Ladies Conference hosted by Dr. Lois Evans and the Urban Alternative. She has worked in the field of adoption and is presently devoting her time to her family and ministry.
A born again Christian, Wanda is a member of the St. John Baptist Church in Grand Prairie & Southlake, Texas, where her husband, Reverend Denny D. Davis, is Senior Pastor of one church in multiple locations. They have been blessed with three beautiful children. Wanda has made great contributions to their ministry. She formerly served as Minister of Music and Director of Women’s Ministry. Additionally, she was the visionary for their Social Service Ministry and Annual Women's Retreat. Currently, she serves as the Minister of Discipleship and as a teaching pastor. The Lord continues to open many doors for Wanda both locally and abroad, as she is in great demand to minister the Word of God and sing. Her daily prayer is, “Lord use me in thy service ”.
